Let's be real — the modern day recruiting landscape sucks right now.
It's never been harder to find people who genuinely care about what you're building. Every founder and operator friend I talk to says the same thing:
“I just want to find people who actually believe in what we're doing.”
“It's so hard to find candidates who give a shit and are deeply skilled at what we're doing.”
And they're right. The current landscape is noisy, transactional, and misaligned. You've got three options:
None of it feels right. And none of it really solves the core problem: how do you find the person who's already obsessed with solving what you're solving?
The best hires I've ever made — whether at Spatial Labs or earlier — weren't found through a "spray and pray" job board. They came from doing the work. Understanding the problem deeply. Then identifying people who were already wired to care. People who lived and breathed the thing we were building. The ones who didn't see the role as a job, but as a mission.
That process isn't scalable. At least not yet.
I've spent a lot of money on recruiting fees, platform fees, software, etc. I've used every platform on the market — LinkedIn, Indeed, niche communities, marketplaces, tools. It's all bloated, noisy, and overrun with low-intent applicants and recruiter spam.
I can only name a handful of recruiting tools that I've found delightful and purposeful.
And honestly, most recruiters aren't set up to win either. They're chasing placements, not impact.
But the best ones — the ones I still remember — they deeply cared. They felt like part of the company. They treated candidates like humans. They fought to get it right. That's the recruiter I want to work with. That's the recruiter I want to build for.
And that's what Flows is about.
We've built an agentic recruiting platform for the next generation of work.
Every part of the traditional recruiting process, through our system, is automated — from sourcing to outreach to vetting — it's fully augmented by our reasoning models and fine-tuned task agents.
Our goal is not to replace recruiters, but instead evolve the recruiting industry by providing businesses with superhuman operators.
What Stripe is to finance, Flows is to recruiting.
Imagine a world where:
We're not there yet. But I believe we're entering a new era.
Recruiting in its current form will not survive the next decade. The future is AI-augmented, high-trust, high-efficiency, and deeply aligned. And that future starts with rethinking the system — not just throwing another tool on top of broken incentives.
This is what I'm building. A recruiting agency powered by reasoning models. A full-stack system where agents do the legwork, and humans make the call.
Because a job isn't just a job — it's how people feed their purpose. Take care of their family. Feel proud of what they wake up for.
Every company deserves teammates who care. Every candidate deserves a shot at meaningful work.
Time to rebuild the bridge.
